A Perfect Pair

This was painted using flat brushes, rather than the filberts (rounded) that I normally use. The result of this effort is a different texture than I would achieve with a rounded brush. I like the still life look of this little gem. It pairs well with my earlier painting done on Day 30 of my Personal Challenge. I'm preparing to show at Artarama in Eagle River, WI on July 18. I hope to see you there!

Thank you, Julie! I appreciate your kind comment. There are days, and then there are days. I went through a very productive period to lighten my style, but am now focusing on more detailed work. I hope to post some of them soon! In the meantime, I'm continuing to do little gems to keep me feeling like I'm actually working. Yesterday I spent 6 hours on one painting, and have only just begun. I didn't realize how much time had gone by until my stomach started grumbling!
